Coetzee Publishing Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. About us and these Terms
We are Coetzee Publishing Ltd (“Coetzee Publishing”, “we”, “us”), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16526370, with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, England. Some of our services are delivered by our South African affiliate, Coetzee Publishing (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2012/188952/07.
These Terms apply to:
- the websites we own or operate, including coetzeepublishing.com, charlcoetzee.com, worshipguitarskills.com and guitarskills.com, with their subdomains, landing pages, checkout pages, member areas and online communities (the “Sites”); and
- everything you buy from us, including our agency services (Part A) and our Worship Guitar Skills courses and memberships (Part B).
Part A and Part B add terms for those offers. A proposal, order page or signed agreement for a specific offer may add more. If anything conflicts, the most specific document wins for that offer: a signed agreement or proposal first, then Part A or Part B, then these general terms.
2. Accepting these Terms
You accept these Terms when you use the Sites, tick the box at checkout, or pay for anything. If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that business.
3. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If you have an active subscription or retainer and a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next billing period. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
4. Your account
Keep your login details confidential. Accounts are for one person only. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you must tell us straight away if you think someone has used it without permission.
5. Payments and recurring billing
- Authorisation. When you buy, you authorise us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your payment method for the amounts shown at checkout. This includes recurring monthly, annual or instalment payments on the schedule shown, and storing your payment details for that purpose.
- Renewals. Subscriptions and retainers renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel under the terms for that offer. Please keep your payment details up to date.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may pause your access or our work until it is paid.
- Prices and taxes. Prices are in the currency shown at checkout and include or exclude taxes as stated there. We may change the price of a subscription or retainer for future billing periods by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email.
- Billing problems and chargebacks. Please contact us first at info@coetzeepublishing.com so we can fix any billing problem. This does not limit your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.
6. Our content and your licence
Everything on the Sites and in our products belongs to us or our licensors. That includes videos, lessons, tabs, chord charts, backing tracks, worksheets, templates, frameworks, text, graphics and software. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use what you have paid for, or what we make available for free, for your own use while you have access.
Unless we agree in writing, you may not:
- copy, share, resell, publish or distribute our materials;
- share your login or let anyone else use your paid access;
- record, screen-capture, broadcast or livestream our content, or download it other than through download options we provide;
- use our materials to create competing products or courses;
- use our content to train or build AI models or datasets;
- remove copyright or other notices.
This licence ends automatically if you break these rules, and we may remove your access without a refund.
7. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you post or send to us, such as forum posts, comments, questions, feedback and videos of your playing. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it to run the Sites and our communities. We will only use your name, image or results in our marketing with your permission. You confirm you have the right to share what you submit. Materials you give us as an agency client are covered by Part A instead.
8. Acceptable use
When you use the Sites and our communities, you must not:
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
- post anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- advertise, sell or solicit to other members without our written approval;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are;
- upload malware, or try to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- scrape the Sites or collect other members’ personal information.
We may remove content, and suspend or close access, if these rules are broken.
9. No guarantee of results
Our courses, memberships and services are educational and creative services. They are not business, financial, legal, medical or other professional advice. We don’t promise any particular result. Your results depend on your own effort, circumstances and market. Testimonials and examples show individual results, which are not typical or guaranteed.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Sites and our materials are provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that the Sites will always be available, error-free or free of viruses.
11. Limitation of liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data.
- Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim arose.
12. Indemnity
If you use our Sites or services for business purposes, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims caused by your breach of these Terms or by content you provide to us.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, don’t pay, or misuse the Sites. Terms that by their nature should continue after access ends will continue, including ownership, amounts owed, limitation of liability and disputes.
14. Third-party sites and platforms
The Sites may link to, or rely on, third-party platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Stripe and our course platform. Those platforms have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability or changes.
15. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as power or internet outages, platform failures, natural disasters, illness, war or government action. If that happens, our obligations are paused while the event continues.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it within 30 days. The courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.
17. Electronic communications
You agree that we can send you agreements, notices and other communications electronically. Ticking a box, clicking “I agree” or completing a purchase has the same effect as a handwritten signature.
18. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These Terms, together with any offer-specific terms, are the whole agreement between us about their subject. We may transfer our rights and obligations to an affiliate or a successor business. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.

Part A: Agency Services
Part A applies to our done-for-you content services, including the Strategic Content Ecosystem 2.0 retainer (the “Services”). Your proposal sets out your deliverables, platforms and schedule.
A1. Scope
We deliver the Services described in your proposal. Changes to scope are agreed in writing, and email is fine. Work outside your proposal is quoted separately before we start it.
A2. Fees and billing
- Fees are paid monthly in advance and charged automatically to your card on file, on the same day of the month as your first payment.
- Your first payment covers your first month of Services. Any onboarding or research fee is stated in your proposal.
- Work for each month starts once that month’s payment has cleared.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
Fees are not refunded for Services you don’t use, for work paused because a payment is outstanding, or for your final month after you give notice.
A3. Term and cancellation
- The Services run month to month. There is no minimum term.
- You can cancel by giving at least 30 days’ written notice to info@coetzeepublishing.com.
- Your Services end at the end of the billing period in which the 30 days run out. You pay for any billing period that starts before that date.
- We can end the Services by giving you 30 days’ written notice. We can end them straight away if a payment is more than 14 days overdue or if you materially breach these Terms.
A4. Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and we let you know. No work for the new month starts until that payment clears. Deliverables missed while a payment is outstanding don’t qualify for credits, extensions or refunds. If a payment is still outstanding after 14 days, we may end the Services (see A3).
A5. Your responsibilities
- Provide the inputs your proposal lists, such as newsletter drafts, raw ideas, recordings and brand assets, on the agreed schedule.
- Give us the access we need to your platforms and tools.
- Review and approve work within the timeframe in your proposal. If approvals are late, the schedule moves and missed slots are not credited.
- You are the publisher of your content. You are responsible for its accuracy, for any claims it makes, and for meeting the laws and platform rules that apply to your industry.
- Make sure you have the rights to everything you give us to use.
A6. Approvals and publishing
We don’t publish anything under your name without your approval, unless your proposal sets out a different workflow that you have agreed to.
A7. Ownership
- You keep ownership of everything you give us.
- Once the relevant month is paid, you own the final deliverables we create for you, such as copy, graphics and edited videos.
- We keep ownership of our own frameworks, templates, prompts, processes, systems and know-how, including anything we used before or outside your project.
- Stock music, images and fonts stay subject to their own licence terms.
- We will only show your work in our portfolio or marketing with your permission.
A8. Platform access
We access your accounts through scheduling tools or the delegated access you grant, and you can revoke it at any time. We don’t control third-party platforms. We are not responsible for changes to their algorithms, reach, features or rules, or for restrictions they place on your accounts.
A9. Our team, contractors and AI tools
The Services are delivered by our team, which includes our South African affiliate and contractors who are bound by confidentiality. We use AI tools to research, draft and edit, and a person reviews all work before it reaches you. Where a tool offers the setting, we use it on terms that do not allow the provider to train its models on your content.
A10. Confidentiality
We each keep the other’s non-public business information confidential and use it only for the Services. This doesn’t cover information that is public or already known, or that the law requires us to disclose. This duty continues for 2 years after the Services end.
A11. Personal data in your materials
Your materials may include personal data, such as subscriber lists or details of your audience. We process it only on your instructions to deliver the Services, keep it secure, and return or delete it when the Services end. A data processing agreement is available on request.
A12. When the Services end
We complete the work for the periods you have paid for. Files for completed deliverables stay available to you for 30 days. Please remove our access to your accounts, and we will delete our copies of your materials within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
A13. Results
We don’t guarantee reach, followers, leads, sales or any other result (see section 9).
Part B: Courses and Memberships
Part B applies to Worship Guitar Skills courses, memberships, live sessions and community (“WGS”). For support, email support@worshipguitarskills.com.
B1. What you get
You get access to the course or membership described on its sales page. “Lifetime access” means access for as long as we run that course. If we ever close a course you paid for once, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice.
B2. Using the lessons
Your access is for one person. You are welcome to play and teach what you learn, at church, with your team and in your own lessons. You may not copy or hand out our materials, such as videos, tabs, chord charts and backing tracks, or share your login. Ask us about team or church access if you need it.
B3. Memberships and subscriptions
- Memberships renew automatically each month or year, as shown at checkout, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in your account or by emailing us. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We will email you a reminder before an annual membership renews.
- Renewals are non-refundable, and we don’t give partial refunds for unused time.
B4. 30-day money-back guarantee
- If you are not happy with a course or membership, email us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund what you paid.
- The guarantee applies once per person per product. It does not cover renewals or payments made after the first 30 days.
- Your access ends when the refund is made.
- We may decline a refund where the guarantee is clearly being abused, for example repeated buy-and-refund purchases or shared access.
B5. Payment plans
A payment plan is the full price split into instalments. You agree to pay every instalment, even if you stop using the course after the 30-day guarantee period. If an instalment fails, access pauses until it is paid.
B6. Your legal right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, the law gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Our 30-day guarantee in B4 covers that period and goes further: you can cancel a first purchase within 30 days for a full refund. Consumers elsewhere keep any cooling-off rights their local law gives them. Your other consumer rights are not affected.
B7. Live sessions and recordings
Live sessions may be recorded and shared with members. If you join on camera or speak during a session, you agree to appear in the recording. You can join with your camera off.
B8. Community
Our community is for encouragement and learning. Stay on topic, be kind, and don’t promote your own products or services without permission. We moderate the community and may remove posts or members under section 8.
B9. Changes to content
We may update, reorganise or retire lessons, and change bonuses, to keep WGS current.
B10. Under 18s
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must make the purchase, agree to these Terms and supervise your use of the community.
